last summer i acquired a decent shape 95 wxc 360, and im starting to wrap up the restoration. i dont think this has the correct clutch lever and perch. the throttle, carb, throttle cable, clutch cable were sourced from other bikes..i recently got a motion pro terminator cable and when fitting it noticed a decent amount of inner cable length...enough that i cant use the perch and lever it has. the adjuster on the perch is quite short and looks like a "cr style" setup. being no adjustment on the cable itself, the perch adjuster isnt long enough to take up the play..what lever and perch do i need to get this adjusted right? i noticed some perches had the large adjuster knob and a longer cable adjustment fitting..i have probably an inch of cable loose at the lever..i know i can adjust the clutch inside the basket but this seems like alot..what are you guys using for replacement perches? this is kinda like my swede huskies where the have more throw and a much longer adjustment fitting on the perch..the motion pro has a fat diameter cable or i think i would just use one of my old maguras, lol..thanks for the help, bike is close to being dirt worthy again

I've got a stocker (I think) from my 92 I can look at (assuming I can find it) tomorrow night. I swapped mine for the stock Domino off my '12 I think. The 92 was a longer lever and had a larger hole for the cable end, other than that they are very similar.

Yup its a domino effort well is on my 02.
An inch of spare cable? You any good at silver soldering? Last cable that was too long for me i cud down and re soldered on the nipple. Saves sending it back or ordering more bits. Try adjusting the inner basket but if can fowel on the clutch cover if you give it too much pull, you need a small flat head and a cut down ten mm spanner to do the adjustment.

Good luck and any pics of restore?

I just re-read that, I'm 99% sure my 360 terminator cable had mid cable adjustment.

What part number do you have? 10-0017?

this is the for sale ad for it...picked it up in a trade for a 83 250wr...always wanted an italian husky!
    Photo238.jpg
starting to come together, fresh metzeler unicross for front and rear, tsubaki omega chain, steel jt sprockets...complete transmission and kicker internals from a 91 wrk250...rebuilt kicker, dynoport pipe and silencer, new wossner piston, all new seals in motor and all other bearings are good. all new swinger and linkage bearings and seals.
    Photo240.jpg
the forks are getting serviced and the carb is waiting for some orings..that dynoport is ridiculous! especially sitting next to the 20lb oem pipe

    Yep, that looks that part.

Mine has an adjuster that sits in there with a big round adjuster on it. You can probably pull one from most any modern clutch setup.

I'm heading home from work shortly, I'll snap a picture and post it up in about an hour.

Yup its a larger plastic adjuster with metal spinner on mine if you wernt too bothered about originality asv do levers or get the moose easy action one it has teo slots for cable to go in so you can have lighter pull.
Nice bike take care of the plastics they are rocking horse s#!¥ to get hold of.

The OE Domino clutch perch is great but the lever pull is horrendous! Like Juicy stated, get ASV levers or Moose easy action or MSR, in fact get an easy action/light pull with a combination of a teflon coated clutch cable.. unless you want to end up with the dreaded claw from clutch lever pump.

Oh, Juicy is correct again, those plastic are bloody hard to get a hold of!!

May pay dividends to whack a 02 set of plastics an tank on if your going to be hammering it, i know the subframes different too do you may need to get subframe seat and tank from brakers to bolt straight up.
That should be easyer and cheaper than getting originals again.

yeah the plastics are hard to find...i just bought a set of shrouds off the classifieds here pretty fairly. same shape as the ones on it..
so you guys are saying that pretty much all the aftermarket levers/perches will take up this kind of slack? im not terribly worried about originality on something like a lever...will have to check em out. sounds like i do need something that has a fairly long adjuster.
i do have an original adjuster coming from ebay, hope that does the trick..
pics of the original setup would be nice if anyone has them,,,thanks guys

Sorry, I was going to take pictures last night, but I remembered the original one is in a box in my outside garage, while the bike was in my basement. It was raining pretty hard, and I didn't want to get wet (it might have washed the sand out).

If that ebay one doesn't work for you, let me know, and I'll get together the stock setup off the '92 and send it your way.

That's what the newer adjusters look like (looks identical to the '12). The one that I had on the '92 was the big knurled round chromed out pot metal kind. Either should work.

thanks guys, ill let you all know how it works. when setting the clutch freeplay in the basket first, what do you set it to? the manual is pretty vague..im familiar doing it on my swedes but the engines lever has all that play before it gets into the actual clutch springs..

Wind the lever ajuster out 1/8th inch.
Loosen the basket adjuster with screwdriver n ten milli.
Now while slackening off the adjuster pull clutch lever to see when it engages fine tune this as neccesary i have mine so as soon as you move the lever the basket begins to lift.
Lock it all up again re check put it all backtogether wind the lever adjuster back in 1/8th m voila perfectamondo (for me any way)

you will really enjoy that bike I love my 360's, they are on either side of yours
not sure why everyone bags on the Domino clutch lever, mine is as smooth as anything I have ever owned
I bought a new Terminator cable and put dry graphite in it before mounting and its amazing

Hey 2premo...the domino/OE lever is pretty good with a new cable but once you put on an easy action/pull, it's damn hard going back to the OE lever.
