I thought I had contaminated the clutch friction plates as my clutch had been grabbing/ grinding, I ran it with 10/40 CAR engine oil instead of bike oil thinking it would be the same. I got some proper oil for it, took clutch apart and put brand new friction plates in [soaked them for 6 hours before hand]. Put back together, bike is fine until it gets about 10 mins in, it heats up, and now it doesnt grind, but it won't disengage properly, so it still wants to move along in gear with lever pulled in and won't change gear very easily if at all, I put on a brand new cable, same problem, it's like the plates are sticking to eachother and all the tension I feel in the lever when the bike is cold goes almost completely when it is hot. I have ordered ebc heavy duty springs, new gasket, another set of friction plates and this time new steel plates. Is it possible the old steel plates were the problem [they all looked fine except one, it wasn't the same silver as the others], and is there anything else I should look for?
