Took off last night after work and hit a local trail system. Kind of a cool trail system in that it is three one way loops so good place to just go burn some laps and can be safely ridden by yourself. I used this area a lot in the past for suspension tuning as it is a rock garden. They have spent a lot of time cleaning the trails and removing the rock. Everything here (on the map) is quad width and 2 track. Amazing how many miles of cinder blocks in the ground and how well done they are. There are ever sections with small doubles of cinder block!!! Anyway you know I love my pix...
That cinder block stuff is weird! The first time I ran across it was the first time I rode in WA state in `97. I can't even remember where I was riding...Randle? Does that sound familiar? Rode in the Capitol, too, and there was a ton of it there. I've only seen it a few times in the national forests here in CA. I an understand using it in areas of high-erosion concern, but clearing away the big rocks is going too far! I've decided I shouldn't look at your posts anymore, Kelly, til I'm healed and able to ride my own darned bike... WoodsChick
You know what Kelly, having a friend like you requires me to keep the jealousy reflex in check. Awesome pics buddy.
Yes Kelly your a jerk! I have a 12 mile woods HS loop out my back door and think it is pretty cool and then you have to go and show us this......... : ) I only have a little hill in my view at home.... nice stress reliever huh.....
You better keep them coming. If I can't get out at least I can live vicariously through you. One of these days I might actually get up to you're neck of the woods.
You know I am just jealous and keep it coming, cause I will be back to the great NW sometime................
augh.....I was just there ( well Oregon,) but drove across at Hood River to Washington....around July 4th to the 15th, not sure if the wife would have gave me a day pass or not......
AAAHHHHGGGGGHHHHHSSSSONABBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEACHHHHHHHHHHH !! that would have made spending 1500 on gas worth the whole sightseeing trip
I concur. I'm going to go claw my eyeballs out now... Excellent stuff, Kelly...regardless of how jealous we all are WoodsChick
Is that Jake's WR? Man, he is fun to watch and would pick the roughest lines at Reiter bunny hopping from log to log to boulder to rock and did some great hill climbs He is very, very good and super smooth. David
Jake told me that he has used a front trials tire and liked it. He said they work really great in terms of where a trials tire works well (rocks, roots, logs) and really bad where a trials tire normally doesn't work well (mud)...extremes!
Keep 'em coming man! Those thick woods single track shots look like a nice little sweat-fest. Good times.
Not soon enough but.......hopefully near the end of August. Also hoping September's usual good weather holds true this year as I want to ride whenever possible. Some of those pics look like Tahuya, but could be any number of spots in WA I'm sure. I want to see some of that scenery NWscout always seems to have pictures of........
Any time you guys (and girls) are ready to trade that beautiful scenery for some Southern Arizona action, I am ready to ride!! That includes everyone, not just PNW folk. Disclaimer: I may ride like your grandma when it comes to anything technical... but I do enjoy getting out there and having a good time no less!!
