I just replaced the new battery on my TE250 with a Turntech battery.

The original 610 battery is toast.

Can I use this smaller battery on my 610?

It might be OK as long as conditions are favorable. If the battery starts to deteriorate, temperatures go to extremes, or you have trouble getting the engine to start on the first revolutions, or you are on the trail and do a lot of restarts, all could mean you will end up push starting it. If you 610 is an FI bike, it needs even more power to run that.

You can likely make it work, but do not ask it to be reliable when you are out in the boonies.

    Yeah, I figured that.

    It's a carb motor.

I see Husky uses the same small battery on the 510 so I guess it should be okay.

Are you using the 2.5A or 5.0A turntech?

I believe he has the 5Ah. Should work as the KTM 690's start with the 5Ah. A couple of guys use them in the 950 Adventurers and Ducati's as well.

    The 2.5Ah won't be enough.

I have a 5.0 Turntech in my 10 Te250 and put the ytx-7 from the TE in the 610.

It is about 1/2 the weight of the old stock 610 battery.
