So i got them in today and tried to install them but ran into a small problem! the anchor bolt that they send with the kit that goes into the end of the bar doesn't fit into the bar. the bar hole is way small, what did any of you guys do in this situation? am i going to need to drill it out bigger or tap and die it? or did some one find a smaller anchor bolt? any input would be helpful thanks! o ya i have 09 smr510.
Don't they come with two different size insert anchors? I have the Zeta but I really can't remember drilling out the bar ends. Maybe I did. Make sure you center the hole and don't let the drill get off track. A lot more work but you really should take the bars off and use a vise to hold them instead of trying to drill while still on your bike.
Husky handlebars have a non-standard ID to the bars and need replaced or drilled for more hand guard bar end mounts.
My Zetas definitely did, and one of the sizes fitted straight into the end of the bars on my '09 TE450 with no modification or drilling necessary.
well my zeta's came with 2 different sizes huge and huger! i just drilled it out to 5/8's works great now!
Yep ,wedge anchors are exactly what I used to adapt my Zeta handgaurds with a Uptite throttle tube, works great.
