So does the little 10 micron cone filter in the quick disconnect get removed too or? I ask because I just bought 3 of the light gray ones a few weeks ago but after 60 hours and 1800 miles the stock one still looks like new.

The factory cone filter gets removed from the quick disconnect and inserted into the Zip-Ty filter assembly. This gives a double filter system of 10 and 20 micron.

The KTM ones you buy are 20-25 micron. Holes in the injector are 10-15 micron, so the injector gets plugged up over time.

OK I got that a while ago. My question still stands. Does the OEM filter, the light gray one at the quick disconnect, stay in their or is it removed if I use the new filter from ZipTy?

EDIT: OK, it seems a response slipped in above so I have my answer now. Thanks all.
