  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey Gang,
I am so fast :) that finally last sticker flew off from my 09 TE 510... what's good place to get some graphics to spice things up? I have IMS 3.5 tank and l would like something that fits and stays on :)
another thing is, I am fed up burning my leg, boots, pants on my left leg... any good heat shields that can spare me this aggravation?IMG_0162.JPG IMG_0225.JPG IMG_1372.JPG

I think Hall's had some ventilated tank graphics. I've seen them on a bike in the shop but up close they are marginal looks-wise.
Most decals will not stick after a while on these tanks. I think Motosportz has some heat shield stuff.

Sand is so warrrrrrrrmmm.

You look like a good candidate for a Kush sprocket with that street set up. Ill be waiting to hear answers to your query too, I HATE my 3.0 IMS. Did I mention I HATE it?(I wish I could make hate bigger and bolder)

Uptite in CA has a great heat sheild.

HI Ks9mm, I think image worth 1000 words.
Heat protector is from www.pirieperfprod.com
Very good product , need to check the bolts time to time.
The graphic come from www.moto-stylemx.com (Romania)

The carbon fiber heat shields from Pirie composit products are an excellant way to avoid the burns from the head/mid pipes. The front of the muffler, there are several companies out there making a better guard than the stock one,I chose the one from MotoSportz and have been happy with it along with several of their other products.I also have the IMS tank and had applied decals on the tank that I sourced from a local shop and found that after a few or several months that as with all that are applied to a plastic gas tank, they started to shift or slide on the tanks surface.I'm not sure that this can be avoided because the plastic or whatever the material is that they make the tanks out of has a tendency to gas (as in the gas passes through the tank to the atmosphere) thus making the decal adhesive ineffective. They will bubble, slide, lift, peel and look like crap after a few months.I would say that if you don't mind buying and putting new ones on every few months,to forget about the graphics.

Hi Waserman, the graphic is perforated so the vapor of gas go true, with out wiping out the graphic of the tank. And you need to wear glove to install it. The grease on your hand are not helping keeping the graphic on the tank.
