    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hi everyone I'm Francis any help i receive will be much apreciatted. I have a 2013 tc449 and I'm unable to start it up. it was running fine a week or 2 ago it was starting 1st time from electric start (no kick start). I went out this morning to start the bike and it sounded like it was going to start at 1st but each time i tried to start the bike it sounded like it was less and less likely that it was going to start for me because the engine starting noise was shortening every time i tried and now all i get is a clicking noise coming from the middle of the bike possibly under the seat. i left it an hour then had another go of starting it up and it sounded a little better as if it was really trying to start again but quickly eventually just went back to the that clicking kind of noise. does anybody have any ideas what this could be or how this has happened? i really am a complete novice and i haven't the slightest of clues, SORRY. Can anyone please help me
 
Check the coolant level.. if it's below the recommended height the switch is tripped and it will act like it wants to start but doesn't run. Happened first time I took my bike out.
 
Sounds like a flat battery. Time to charge it up, or replace it with a better one.
There are good lithium batteries available that will improve starting. (make sure the brand you buy has in-built power management) [SSB or Earth-X are two]

^^ There is no coolant level sensor in the TE449, and to the best of my knowledge, not the TC either. ^^
