• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OK! got a 1980 wr 390 motor coming to replace the 1978 cr 250 motor, the 38 mil. carb has stock cr 250 jetting. will i need to change anything?? looking for baseline setting, going to cut & fit stock 250 pipe until funds become available:lol: :banghead:

not yet! post office say's 3-4 weeks:confused: that's ok, alaskan's are used to waiting, like, for DAYLIGHT!!! just wondering if i should get jets now to avoid waisting our short season, 1000 ft above sea level,-55to 85 above, just joking, who the hell would want to ride in 85 degree weather:eek:

id start with an 81 main jet...and see what happens...if your carb was working good before with the 250, chances are it will work good with the 390.
FYI..i looked into 3 day shipping....was over 200.00....and UPS wanted 195.00 for ground..so the 86.00 parcel post was a bargin...you get a free winter, well spring jacket in AK as well.

thanks chuck, went thru the tech ref, jetting the same, cr&wr-250&390,is there any diff. besides the tranny? port timing, reeds? don't fret over shipping time, if they put it on the ferry it's 17 day's right there!
