• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1982 wr430 Dick Burelson replica

Wadman

Husqvarna
B Class
I am looking at a 1982 wr430 Dick Burelson replica. Can anyone give me any good or bad on these bikes. It is a one owner with a title. Are parts available for this bike. How does it handle in the woods?

That is strange I got a 420 auto with some Dick Burelson replica insignia on it. You can go to this thread which is pretty fresh and quite similar.<coffee removed IP based (non-url) link> I haven't had a bike exactly set up like the one you ask about. The seat is lower and and better than the modern stuff. They make way much more noise. Especially at idle which is what you will be at when passing hikers. An original owner probably means no mechanics with one more ride beater mindset. Depends on your state whether a title is important for anything beyond a collection addition. If less than 10 years old and registered you can get a plate and then you are set in one state, in another you need yearly inspections, in others they have plates for quads and bikes but not for street use. Are parts available? A lot are however the prices seem to be going up faster than inflation. Not all parts are exactly like the originals. I don't buy too much lately but will be interested in finding out what happens after the parts packaged in cagiva Ducati moto morini shrink wrap and boxes run out. Handling, well I imagine there is improvements by now rake is less and probably weight distribution has changed.

I have one and it's an awesome bike. great power and good handling for a 28 year old bike. makes a great dualsport ride.

I also have a Dick B replica w title. Its a great bike just not sure how much
different then a standard 430. Mine Has 13,000 miles on the Speedo,
and is still in very good shape..
How much are they asking??

Im really excited that im getting this bike saturday. I plan on doing some vintage racing with it. Ive heard that these bikes were pretty fast.

Want to explain my comment above. I don't mean to detract from the value, interest, or coolness of the 82 DB replica. I just thought they gave that name to all the 82 430 WR's. If there was a "special" model I didn't know that.

You may be right, but I would like to know for sure.

I didn't think there was a DB replica in 1982. Only in 1977. I have a WR360 with the DB replica kit. It had to be dealer installed. Curnutt shocks. Preston Petty tail light and H/L. 24mph VDO pacer.

LOL, How are you Drew ? Are you coming to the ISDTR this year ? How was Indy ? I missed it as they cancelled my flights twice.

I have a 77 360 wr db replica I bought new I cant remember if it came with solid alum handle bars or I put them on that was 35yrs ago I just restored it last year a great bike to ride.

Drew sorry I missed you at the 75th.Heard you were there. How did you like the display. We did have a 1934 HD on Saturday.Someone was going to bring a 82 430wr,but it didn't show.I still think it's a toss up which Husky rules-82-430wr or a 87-430wr.I have to lean to the 87 because it was Huskys best at the end.JoeA

I believe you probably put the InterAm bars on yourself. Mine has stock bars.
