My 82 430CR has Gold bars, i think all the CR's were gold , they went to black in late 83 or 84 on the 500, but the bars where lower too.

Sure looks like they are black.

Ruwfo, see I was thinking like you and thought they were gold. That's the only bike im missing is the 82 430 cr.

Looks like bar mounts are black as well.

Hard to tell when guys get spray cans out over time.

There's a few style of stock handlebars, most of the taller (medium height) one i've seen are gold & the slightly lower ones are black...I refer the gold ones both in color & height.

The spray can for the gold used on the 82 handle bars and fork legs is Rust Oleum Metallic "Gold Rush" 7240. Have to get it at Amazon or eBay as it seems to be old Rust Oleum product now

gold bars approx dims are 30-1/2-31" wide, height is about 3-1/2", black ones are about 1" lower

Yes, they sure are. And the maroon 82 430 is the best looking of the best looking bikes.

I just bought Rustoleum Gold Rush metallic at Home Depot yesterday! It's a very good match.

Every 83/84 I've seen has had a low black bar, but it's just too low for me. I prefer the higher gold bar. In fact, it's super comfortable and just sorta 'works' with that 81/82 style of riding.
