• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1983 Service manual

Lucien (White Husky) just sent me one last week for posting****************************************!. I beleive it is what you may be looking for. Will review and confirm tonight.

I have it downloaded but not posted yet!

I have not yet had time to post it but will try and get the 83 manual posted up in the vintage Tech Ref section this weekend. Might be a s late as Sunday night.... to many Christmas parties and events going on this weekend!!!

Merry Christmas!

Thanks, T

I've got a 1983 Husky owners manual & parts manual scanned if
Husky T doesn't find it.

Hi Tim, I don't have the detailed workshop manual for '83; what I sent you was the
  • 1983 Husqvarna Dealer assembly manual.pdf (14 pages)
  • 1983 Husqvarna Dealer mounting instructions.pdf (10 pages)
  • 1983 Husqvarna Owners Manual.pdf (72 pages)
  • 1983 Husqvarna workshop manual.pdf (29 pages) (I think this is the 1980-85 engine workshop manual)

What I would like to see (if there is one) is the 200 odd page workshop manual for 1983. As the 1983 parts manual alone is anywhere between 92 pages and 192 pages depending on which version you get, I suspect what is for sale on ebay (which is described as owners manual, workshop manual and parts manual) is no different to what's listed above. If it is the full 200 page workshop manual, I'd be interested!

Cheers
Lucien

I sure like the sounds of this. I have an 82 that I will be tearing into soon.
A shop manual would would give me some more incentive to finally get going on it.

Hi bultokid,

I have masters for:-

Owners Manual for Frame Numbers:

CO 00001, WO 00001, XO 00001
and
CO 11000, WO 11000, XO 11000
