• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1985 250WRX Decals

Husqvarna
AA Class
Where can I get a full set of decals for this bike?
I seem to have a thing for Husky's that are fairly rare such as this model.
I've Googled pics of it and I can't seem to have any luck with finding a good example.
Thanks!

phillip at husqvarna-parts.com or DC plastics. that bike isnt so rare in the northeast. I had 2 250's and 1 400 in the past 10 years.

Ok, then send me pics of these 250WRX's that you had so I can see what the WRX graphics looked like. Not the WR's and not the XC's, the WRX graphics. I've restored one and would like to finish the graphics correctly.
I never had an '85WRX back in the day so I have no examples to look at and Google is no help, but I did own/race the 85 WR's and XC's.

"there was no WR or XC for that model..just the WRX... i thought:thinking: " the WR in 1985 was still twin shock. the WRX,CR & XC were all single shock models. 1986 is first WR single shock model.

Depends on the country for 1985 WRs perhaps. they called them 85a for dual shock, 85b single shock and with a front drum still.
I was present with a friend when buying his, he had the option for single or dual shock in Canada.
Still has it too.

My 85 single shock has an Australian compliance plate (engraved) as a 400WR, front drum, XC/CR forks, longer shock, brake stay for rear drum, even though all specs are relevant to a WRX, who knows? I've given up trying to work it out!
Tony.
