• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2003 te610e jetting help

COrus

Husqvarna
A Class
Can anyone give me a baseline for what jetting I should be running on an 03 TE610e with the dellorto carb at 5200 feet mostly, but going up to 12000 and everything inbetween.

Any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks.

I can tell you my jetting for 2000', on my '03 TE610E..... Main 180 (Stock) Pilot 60 (50) Needle K32 (stock) Needle Position 2nd (3rd) Nozzle or Needle Jet 264AB (260AB).

Fran at Bottones set my bike up new and said the most important improvement is the 264AB Nozzle. Also, pop the plug on the non-adjustable fuel screw, get it out and cut a slot in it, so you can adjust it. Maybe this set up with a smaller main and the stock 50 pilot will work at higher elevations.

Thanks for the reply. I am having a hell of a time getting it to run right. It has a bad bog around 5K and up high it starts to run real bad. I went down to a 170 main, 2nd on the needle and a 52 pilot and I used a 35 pump jet. I will have to try and find the needle jet you have.

I am planning on dropping back to the 50 pilot and see how it works.....

Thanks

I got there a slightly different way. I am at sea level:
175 main, AB266 atmozier, 62 pilot jet, K32 needle at #3, idel screw at 1 5/8 out. Plan to change to 177/178 main next time.
I arrived at these myself making one change at a time and evaluating the results. Got parts here: http://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?cPath=62&osCsid=82144e46970e319484fb285ac6a13d98
Rule of thumb:
Reduce the main jet one size per 1000 feet increase in elevation and reduce the pilot one size per every 2000 feet increase in elevation to start. I have not had my bike at high altitude yet.
