  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2007 TC250 fitting a Tc450 motor

hello I recently have been wanting to upgrade my tc 250 to a tc450. I was wondering if the tc450 motor is a direct bolt in to my tc250 chassis or some modifications is needed and what 450 motors will work?
thanks for looking and helping me out.

I'm interested in this as well. I just inherited my brothers 07 TE250 and want a lot more motor for a true dirt worth dual sport that could replace my cherry but big old KTM 620 RXC.

My good friend has his sons 07 TC 450 sitting in the shed gathering dust. So we have two complete bikes to swap parts back and forth with to make a plated 450 and 250 enduro.

Maybe sell off the 250 basterd when done.

In all the TE/TC/SMR swapping ive done, i dont think there is anything stopping you from bolting the engine right in. I gave a set of ti 450 headers to a guy with a te510 and he claimed they didnt fit but im skeptical about that.

hello sorry for the late reply but, I was busy this weekend answering the question I asked. so the answer is that it was a direct bolt in fit 2004 tc 450 motor into my tc250 motor. the only thing that's was difference was where the choke was mounted on the 2004 tc450. not a big deal just have to relocate it. now as for switching te chassis to a tc motor I'm not quite sure, because the part numbers do not match. the tc chassis has a different number then the te. now the numbers do match over the years 2004 to 2005 tc chassis to tc chassis , etc. the 2007 tc frame did have a different part number but I think that was due to

BMW buying husky for that short time. hope this help. I will be posting a pic of both bikes soon. the motor swap is done in one of my bikes so far.
