  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have an uncorked 2008 TE 450 that I just got around to putting a PC3 on. Holy smokes...it's like a new bike. If you have one of these and don't have a PC3...get one...you don't know what your missing. There's much more power and it's still smooth but not as linear and boring.

Also, I hear there's a really good show called Breaking Bad. I'll have to check that out too.

Sincerely,

Chronically late to the party,

Hey 1Kstep I've got an 09 TE 450 and I'm interested in doing something similar. I have got a stock pipe and baffles removed from stock muffler. What have you got? Also how difficult is the PC 3 to use? Is it as simple as plugging in and loading a map or some recommended settings?
Cheers DJ

I meant what pipe, exhaust system have you got? Interested to know if replacing muffler is enough or whether must better to replace whole exhaust system,. Obviously costs benefit is a consideration

I have the official Husky powerup kit which came with an arrow pipe - slip on not full system. I've not heard of a single person doing the a full system.

Part of this is some guts get yanked from the exhaust and the lambda sensor is pulled and plugged.

My understanding is the 09 is not the same EFI as the 08...yours has 3 parts to the map where mine is just 1 map. The PCIII is pretty easy to use...following the directions...grabbed a map that seemed correct and applied it. Set the throttle and off i went. Good luck.
