  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2009-2010 cool tail light

Pinittowinit

Husqvarna
AA Class
By the looks of the breakdown the light and bracket isn't attached to the fender. Is this true? Can someone please post up some detailed pics of the tail light. The end of the fenders look the same as the wr300's as well as the older 4 strokes.

What you riding?

I've fitted the 2010 LED light and rear fender to my 09 SMR but I think you're referring to your 06? So I'm not sure what the set up is on those

BAMB**************************************** 2011 euro didn't check 2010. Same subframe as 05-07 4 strokes and our newer 250/300's

This is the light

It is. There's a couple of fixings that go through the fender and up into the base of the tail light assembly. All your wiring tucks in behind the tail light in the void inside the fender. I think it's a real sweet set up. I've mounted my number plate onto the white tab sticking out under the light by drilling a couple of holes in the tab. Worked a treat.

P1030024.JPG BTW, 2009 OE fender is different to the 2010 fender but only where the light fits. I swapped my 09 fender on my 09 510SMR to a 2010 fender with the LED light. You can see the fixings going up into the light assembly you mentioned.

Whoa, great information guys!

I'm after a white 05-07 road legal tail and have been looking at the rather depressing route of pattern plastic + cheapo light with dodgy wiring + cheapo bracket that doesn't fit, etc...
But instead it looks like I'll be on the phone to Huskysport tomorrow.

Fitting the '10 fender to the '09 is a breeze. Also, Huskysport are great for service and I got the '10 LED light there, I bought my bike from there as well, but check out ebay, lots of plastics deals there mate.

Will-do chief, thanks for the suggestion. Looks like I'll be abusing the company's internet bandwidth at work tomorrow. :)

Well, I ordered the tail unit and led light so I'll let y'all know how it goes when it arrives.

Nice one! I sat in the garage in the dark with the tailight on, pressing the brake pedal on and off like a kid with a new toy. They look awesome! Tell me you don't try that and I'll call you a liar
