  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Is not working too good on my 2011 TE-250. Full kit installed. and dealer programed Leo ECU( I-Beat settings have been applied). There is a big miss right off idle.??? Looking for a little
help getting this sorted out.

How many hours on it? Check spark plug gap, should be. 027-.031 inches if it's like the 2010. Mine was at .024 and flamed out a lot near idle before I gapped it. I did the JD power tuner after messing with iBeat with no real luck cleaning the stumble off idle. Runs like a champ now!

the problem seem to be in the ecu/efi with these bikes........no mater how much you try and tune it in the efi area it still is not 100% talking to people and have talked to the tuners that are tuning the 250/310 husky race team bikes thay say the only way is to use a power commander with out auto tune.......and i think there has been some good reports with the JD tuner as well..........NOTE...if you fitted a power commander and got it dyno tuned it would have got you more power than a leo vince and ecu and at half the price $$ and you efi will be 100%

good luck

Thanks guys,
Husky offered it in " Special Parts" my thought was it would be a plug and play issue???
The bike ran great with the stock system, powered-up, I just had a little money to throw at the bike and got a "Chuckle" knowing Arnold's Law will be in effect next year in CA.I was looking for smooth, quiet power over the stock pipe.

My dealer is testing the JD kit on a new 310 this week, I hope to here good news...

Thanks H.B.

Reply to your NOTE... The efi is all new to me, learning quick, yes I am spending money to do so. The
Dealer was interested when I purchased it to see how it would compare with the
JD tuning kit with the stock system. Ha Ha I could have taken the bike to Power Commander in LV
when I got it, free kit to use my bike as a test bike.

I tend to disagree as I have had excellent results with the Leo silencer/ECU. This is on my 2010 TXC 250, to the point that I would not buy '11 310 without buying the special parts pipe & ECU. Could it be that you got a 2010 kit and this is on a 2011 bike? I know they should be the same but mine ran good with all 3 settings at 100 and great with a little tweaking. It has been at least 4 months since I have hooked a computer to my bike so I do not remember the settings.

I ve recently installed a Leo Vince and it hasnt created a flat spot
Its a lot quieter though - - yet to test it fully but I am happy with just on weight and noise alone

Wow!!! I just got back from a 75 mile duel-sport loop in the Santa Cruz mountains. This pipe rips !!!
I hope the dealer can figure out the off-throttle issue ??? Ride the bike like a 250 should be ridden (on the pipe) IMGP0003.JPG IMGP0003.JPG IMGP0006.JPG and big smiles happen.

Update: PCV installed / Auto tune...

Did 4 laps around a man-hole cover , without a miss , so far so good.

Best $600 bucks I ever spent...
Wow!!! the TE 250 is running perfect now 100%. Husky needs to figure this out ???
So good, I installed Dynojet stickers.IMGP0009.JPG
