  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 TC 250 EXHAUST ON A 2010 TE 250

hello
will an exhaust from a 2010 tc250 fit the 2010 te250 ?
is it worth to try this at all ?
thanks

we did that swap and it fit.the pipe comes close to the ignition cover on the te.you might have to modify the mid point mount just slightly,we did but it is no big deal.dan

I put a Leo Vince X3 system on my TE250 and it worked really good. The stock head pipe is really restricting the little 250 IMO.

yes a leo vince is ok but a lot of $$$$$$$ for verry little gain
ps...the leo vince muffler is nearly just as restrictive as the stock because both have a mid spark arester welded in...... better to put your $$$$$ into better tuning the... first wrong thing people do is try and fit a exhaust or a slipon and think it will give them more power... REMBER a exhaust is only a small peice to the overall proformance to the bike it will not work with out the rest of the package

how often do you hear that .....i just put a new slipon muffler on boy it goes grate and sounds faster ............yes it will sound better but you will be lossing proformance
DYNO'S DONT LYE

The LV header pipe is cheap and that is where the gains are. I bought my LV headpipe for under $200.

I am pretty sure it will. I bought the FMF full system with the Power Bomb header for my son's 2010 TE 250. They do not list the header for the TE and my recollection is that it was for a TC but it fit on the TE with no issues. The header does come close to the clutch hose and wires wrapped with it, so a little header wrap in that area is a good idea. Also...a cable tie or two to insure the radiator hoses don't sag onto the header is a good idea.
