  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 TE 450 Fouling Plugs

Stirlo

Husqvarna
A Class
My TE450 has fouled 2 plugs now just after cleaning the air filter. Filter wasn't over oiled, has fresh 98 oct fuel but won't start. When I take the plug out it's black and arcs to the side instead of the electrode. Last time I put a new plug in and it was fine, took it to the dealer and they checked it with the computer and said all settings were spot on. This bike has less than 600k's on the clock, isn't raced, is still under warranty and as a mechanic myself, get all the love it needs. Has this happened to any one else??? Any feed back would be good, thanks..

G'day Stirlo, I've got the same bike but have not experienced this problem. I can only suggest it is getting too much fuel or burning oil, not sure if there is some sought of breather hose from crank case to air box? Put some pressure on the dealer while its under warranty as well. My fuel settings are C01-110, C02-110, C03-105.

Fouled after the air filter clean and oil. I think it might be picking up some fumes from the filter and then the fuel as well makes it too rich and stuffs the plug?? I'll put a new plug in and see how it goes then wait for a while next time I oil the filter.

I have had great success with iridium plugs. They do not foul, definately start up easier in the cold
