  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 Te250 Tank Removal ? How To ?

rabskyline

Husqvarna
AA Class
Well, I am just going over bike and wanted to pull the tank off and as I've never had an FI bike before, I have NFI how to remove the pipes etc....:D

I always like to tear down a bike to check all is well even though its a year old. I still want to check wiring etc under there and see what needs taped up and tidied etc....peace of mind so.......how do I get the pipes off or connectors off ? Don't want to break anything !

another question, does the 2011 larger 310 tank fit the 2010 ? I feel I may need more juice to do longer rides circa 100-120klms.

When are you going to ride this thing Rabs? Seems to be spending a lot of time in the Garage

rabs the 2011 te 310 fuel tank will not fit on a 2010 te250 as the frame is a bit different on the 2011 310
you can get a 8.5l tank from husky parts ..part no...8000h5763 for the 250 but its aprox $800 and comes with a fuel pump

sheesh ! that's a lot of lolly eh ??

don't think I'll need it for the 90% ST that we do. I done 37klms today and then filled up at servo on the highway next to forest, took 2.1L to get it back to same level so on my estimation, i will get just over 100klms of riding out of a tank or just under if I do my usual ST at normal pace when used ot the bike more !
