  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Got my IBeat software in from Semco Des. this morning :applause:

Talked to Scott on the phone as I was having some interface issues with Vista on my laptop. Ended up downloading it to an XP laptop and works just fine.

Changed Co settings to 108/110/110, just to do an initial, quick test and check to see if the low end bog would go away....

Initial impression: Is this a 450 or a 250? This thing seems to have gotten a deeper exhaust note (Good thing) and sounds like a much bigger bike :D

Did some quick throttle twists and it hesitates only very slightly, but does not stall or do what it use to do, which was flame out....Wow, very nice now.

Now the fun part: Riding....I have only done a couple quick, low end hot laps around my house.....:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D WOW, the low end bog/hesitation is GONE :applause::applause: This thing efi's cleanily, with my initial baseline settings....DOnt know about the mid and top end yet, but it should be just as good (It was already good before)

I cannot believe how clean it runs now on the low end...Very nice, no bog, no nothing, but sweet Husky power to kick all those little Honda's around in Tecate tommorrow :lol::lol::lol: Just kidding Honda riders, i'll try not to roost you all to bad....

Enough writing, gotta get back to more riding

iBeat normally works fine with Vista. There is something unique with his Vista system that wouldn't allow iBeat to install correctly. This is the first time a problem like this has shown up.

I'm glad to hear iBeat tuning is making improvements for you. Keep us updated.

I fairly laid back about these sorts of things but I've had a suggestion to move this over to the efi forum. That ok with everyone? I can leave a permanent re-direct.
