  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 TE 310 bog off idle. What to do now?

I can't seem to find a TXC ECU unit and 12 point injector as apparently Husky is no longer making these. Will the power commander fix this problem? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You can improve bike's behavior with PCV, or with ECU and injector. But the bike if it is well tuned, will perform well. Look first for someone that can tune it as it should be. Mine is 2011 TE250 and runs perfect with stock injector and without any PCV or something.

I was at ZipTyRacing a few days ago and asked that question. Call them and order the power commander they tuned for the 2011 TE310 and the 12pt injector . They are listed on the sponsors link above.

I agree and I have a '12 TXC310 with a stock 12pt injector to compare it too.

Get I-beat and adjust it.

After more research it appears that the 49033-0010 number is for the Kaw 10 hole injector. It is my understanding that it's output is 450cc. I just received the Kaw 12 hole injector, it's part number 49033-0011. Stock is 2011 TE310 on left (yellow) Kaw on right (green) is supposed to be 350cc.
Sorry of any confusion. BTW Kaw was in the $60 price range.

Halls has the kit in stock.

This is a TXC ECU + 12 point injector. This is the kit I used. That's the easy part.

The tough part is that you will need access to the iBeat cable and software to reset TPS and such. If you have a dealer near you maybe they can work with you.

Also required is the standard "power-up" be done before any of this happens (remove cat, Lambda sensor removal and bypass, airbox restrictor removed, etc).

Aaron8, it's a bit hit a miss on whether the ECU and Injectors are available. I was at one large Husky shop in So Cal, it's the one I got the Kaw injector from and they said they could order a 2012 TCX ECU and another shop said only the Canadian flashed 2012 TE310 ECU was available.

At this point I have only installed the 12pt injector and run it on a bike stand. It seems to be running rich but sounds much meaner. Seems to rev quicker with each blip of the throttle. Hopefully I'll be able to test it and adjust the JDJetting Powersurge to get it rideable until I get a proper ECU. I wonder if Halls only sells them as a kit?

If anyone is interested in selling the original parts for a 2011 or equivalent for a TE310 (before the power up kit) Oxygen sensor "lambada", catalyzer and other parts please PM me.

If you can't find an injector/ecu kit, I recommend the JD Tuner. I used one on my 2011 for a while and it really helped.

I'm interested on the original tool box, and the catalyzer if you still have these parts

Have you checked the calibration value of the throttle position sensor? You can use the ibeat software or the simple method below:

TPS Quick Reset
- Fully Warm Motorcycle
- Disconnect the battery for approx 2 minute, then hook it back up again.
- Turn the ignition key on.
- Turn the throttle to full stop and then back again.
- Turn the ignition key off, wait 5 seconds, and then turn it back on again.
- Start the bike without touching the throttle.
