  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 te310 exhaust question

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hey guys, searched the threads but could not find a definitive answer. Found a 2010 tc250 pro circuit t4r full exhaust at a very good deal and I am wondering if it would fit. I am aware if does I need to remap.

thanks

The header pipes on the 2010 TC fit a bit tighter than the TXC/TE headers.

Mufflers are almost the same....you have to tweak a TC pipe to fit on the TXC/TE

FYI I installed a 2010 TC250 Arrow Ti muffler onto my 2011 TE310 using the OEM TE310 Arrow manufactured header it was an exact replacement fit and was 1/2 the weight of the OEM TE muffler. handling and suspension was much improved with this change. So I would assume a 2010 TC muffler of any brand would be plug and play onto the header of the 2011 TE310

2011 TE310 with Stock (Arrow) Exhaust

2011 TE310 with Stock (Arrow) Header and 2010 TC250 stock (Arrow) Ti muffler

The header may end up really close to the left lower rad hose. If it does, I would install the TC250 hose assembly which also removes the thermostat. Win win.

Thanks for all the replies guys, now comes decision time. Very on the fence if I put more goodies on to my bike, or "gasp" sell and buy a 2013 200xcw that just came up for sale at a good price. Resale value on the te's has held up pretty well around here due to the street legal part. I am torn on this because I really do like the te, but 30lbs less is also very appealing to me. Bikes get trucked to the trail, only reason I got the te model is I knew it would hold value better (all street stuff has been taken off). However, I wonder between a lighter exhaust and new 4 cell battery the difference in handling on the husky in the tight and ugly? Ride tight wooded foothills single track, and find after two hours the bike starts to beat me down. This will require some deep thought weighing pros and cons.

The exhaust will make the TE rev out quicker, more like a 2 stroke. A 200 xcw would be sweet too. 2 bikes maybe???

Yeah, buy the other one and ride it. Let your riding make the decision for you. Then you'll know for sure you didn't screw up.

Two bikes would be great, but need to keep the one wife! So only one dedicated dirt machine for now. Was watching some world enduro footage of meo on the te, and man that boy can ride! Also shows what the bike can be capable of if the rider is. I love not being on orange sometimes, but I hate watching how easy it is to get parts for them. I love cruising over baby heads that are pushing my 2 stroke buds all over the place, but hate picking my bike up off the ground compared to theirs. As I said pros and cons...

So I think I have come to decision, and the winner is.... I am going to stick at least one more season with the TE. My reasoning is that the bike is in good shape, I like proving people wrong who down talk the bike, the weaknesses and cures for this bike are now well known, and I haven't truly come close to realizing its true potential. It will soon be time for a new thread: Setting up the ultimate 2011 TE310 for me!

PS after Meo got through testing his "TE" (250 and 310) they were barely real production bikes....from frame mods to suspension to motor, just everything was changed modded removed etc etc. Yes Meo rolls hard for sure, glad he was brought on board for the Italian fall, but his bike in particular was waaaay far from a even a mod prod bike. Juhas was more mod prod- Meos more unobtanium.

I have the Meo exhaust and header on my 2011 TE310. It's ok. Runs about the same without the JD tuner as the bike did with the stock header/pipe and the Tuner plugged in. It's considerably quieter than the stock exhaust, too. Which is entirely the opposite of what I expected. I also put in the 12 hole injector and ECU. Overall, less than impressed. $1000 for everything and bike's pretty much unchanged.

I have been wondering about a quieter exhaust for a while now, as the stock TE250 2011 I have is not exactly quiet or trail ride (UK) friendly or even easy to repack. Any after market end cans out there that quiet it down that fit to standard header?
Cheers. . .

Just inspired by Meo's riding, all of the big boys get the cool stuff. However, I think there is a lot of potential that I haven't realized in this bike yet. The new stuff I plan to add are exhaust, 12 hole injector with ecu/power commanderV, maby some gold valves, and a 4 cell anti gravity battery (and if really lucky a rekluse). And then concentrate on setup, setup, and setup! One of the biggest things the top guys do is spend a ton of time dialing the bike into them (roberticco I know you do) and I did not do that enough last year. Really hone in on the small details and make it mine.
