• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 Ty Davis With Marzocchi At Glen Helen

Wonder who will be on a Husky this year at Endurocross? Then when Husky has there anual dealer meeting at one of the Endurocross events like they have done for the last few years
WHO will the Husky Dealer be cheering on?
You have to admit Ty builds some great bikes

that WAS 2011. (sorry) there is no ZipTy Husky for 2012. So for Pro level US Husky team Look east to FAR in the GNCC and Nat Enduro series

And for international enduro CH Racing
Rally Raid-Speedbrain Racing

I LIKE IT! Yuck the sound of a four stroke, sounds sick in a bad way. Way to late for me to change! Gotta love that fork. Must be the aluminum one i read about??

Endurocross looks like a lot like a local place we ride called Diamond Mill. Lots of log and rock crossings.

I think I read about these in cycle world or somewhere. I think they are sweet and should be the fork on a Husky. NOT A KAYABA!!! If I win the lottery, I will buy you and me a set!! Thanks. You diggin that new ride of yours! I'm contemplating on jumping on and outdated 250wr this year in place of my CR150. Not sure why. I'm not sure about the durability of that fork if it is the aluminum one.

I dont think that the zoke 48mm is an all alloy fork, I think the lowers are standard steel, I think only WP has used the hard coated Alloy lowers in action on the factory Katos. On sat I will race the 310 in the 50+ open class hopefully the former pros/A riders will be at a minimum!! The platform is really good but mine will need a little more suspension tuning as time goes by and I get more used to the thing.

From what I have been told Ty Davis Zip Ty Racing is going to be a Marzocchi Dealer if all goes as planned.
The man himself Peadro from Italy Marzocchi Factory and Tuner to alot of the European race Teams is in the process of setting up the whole thing.Ty is setting up a new building just for suspention work plus a mobil service truck that will be seen at alot of the major races on the west coast.Another thing in the works is a cartrige incert to convert your current suspention be it another brand then Marzocchi
to Marocchi spec. Now all we have to do is wait and see as I have been waiting some time to receive my set of forks.
From everyone I have talked to that has used these forks even after they have left Zip Ty Racing for another company. The riders tell me that the forks are great and they would use them on there current ride if they could,or if more of they were avalible.
The e mails I receive back from Peadro from Marzocchi keep telling me it will be soon.If I receive any more info I will pass it along
Suspention is the KEY to a good ride All my bikes have stock motors BUT I have no problem spending money on Suspention.

Suspension by Pedro!! (Pietro Palladino the factory rep maestro of Marzocchi)

soon, si domani a festa.

word is that the 48mms have better flexx feel than the 50s

That is for sure. I can make up for a weak or pipey engine and even a bike that handles fair, but if my suspension is noy up to par, it just won't work for me.

Makes sense, since they are a smaller dia. I really think in the woods, at least on a smallbore a 50mm fork is overkill, and I wish Husky would spec there WR 125/150 with a 45. I spoke with Jay Hall about putting a 45mm fork on my CR 150,(I have a 02 fast by ferrachi black stanction tube 45 Zoke laying around) but sounds like a little research would have to be done for correct offset triple clamps. Hec I liked my 1996 wxe 250 right side up Zokes! Fork seal durability has been very good on all my zokes. Does anyone know the weight difference of a 45 mm to a 50mm?? My twin chamber 50 still annoys me a little, after 2 revalves and lighter springs (.38) Feels as if it blows through the initial travel and then resists bottoming! I'm not sure if this is related to having the suspension lowered for my short :censored: 5' 7" The Husky is just to talll stock for toe dabbing and difficult off cambers etc... At this point I'm over the Gas Gas eye candy appeal and must stay loyal to something. Even if I decide to ride and outdated WR 250!! Sounds like Iv'e heard Kayaba is the wave of the future with Husky, so not so sure they will jump back to Zokes any time soon.
