  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 TE 310 mode switch question

Hello!! New to the forums and proud owner of a brand new left over 2012 TE 310. I finished installing the power up kit items last night and can't figure out how to switch maps? I did a search on here but still couldn't figure it out. I noticed that now the computer reads race map I but when I push the blue button it doesn't change to race map II. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!!

Dave, I just added the MAP switch to my 2013 310 and like you nothing?? Did you ever figure anything out??

Engine running, in neutral and held switch for abt 4 seconds or more?

That gets me into mode II, which I like better in tight single track.

I think mine would switch with just the key on and the engine not started but you need to hold the button in for a few seconds. Every time you turn the key off it defaults back to map 1.
Hypertard, 2013 and 2014 won't work with a switch because it's a different ECU than the 2011-2012 models.

I need a high elevation map and switch on my 13. Riding at 12k feet it, at times, will want to stall on steep downhills when I need it to stay running. Also does a lot of popping on decell.. Fine other than 11-12k feet but an high elevation map and switch would be awesome.

That's odd. Popping on decel usually means a lean condition. At elevation of the EFI was not compensating enough, I would think it would be running rich.
