  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi guys

Are they .44 or .46 up front ?
Mine feels a bit had to turn at times

Anyone know what the recommended front sag is? - (Ive seen Vinduros thread)

Is it a 5.4 on the rear ?

Thanks

The workshop manual is a bit confusing.
It says .46 front springs - thats seems OK
Rear it says 5.2 - 5.8, which probably means there is 3 or 4 "standard" spring options. :excuseme:

Stock Kayaba springs have markings. It's a little dot of paint on the spring coil towards one end. Pink is 5.5.
(My 310 was resprung before I broke it in so not sure about stock husky springs.)

After my first ride on mine, I had to reset sag as it had sagged (pun intended) a good 15mm out of spec.

I am a little light at 64kg so,I would like lighter ones for front cc forks.
Will let,Dave do them though.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I was referring to the rear spring. Front I wouldn't have a clue except for what the manual states at .46

64kgs? damn whippet, you need a few good Aussie BBQ's

Dave at Suspension Matters? I've never used him but heard good things.

Yeah Dave.
Rear, has, right sag numbers but front needs softened as I run the comp out a bit but that's not good for handling.

ATR recommended I ( 82kg ) use .44 front ( .42 ) standard on a WR125 - lighter bike .
The standard ones on the TE feel a little firm maybe so .44 sounds about right for me
I am mainly interested as I have to change the WR 125 springs
