  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi first time posting im wondering
What is the best after market exhaust for a
2013 TE 310 R would really appreciate peoples opinion
Thanks
Kinners.

As far as I know there is no better (as in performance) aftermarked exhaust for the TE310R, than the stock exhaust. The stock exhaust is already build by leo-vince.
If you are aiming for a different look with a aftermarket exhaust, thats a different story. But then I can´t give you an answer :)

Akropovic full setup. The stock can is heavy. FMF sucks IMHO.

There is FMF and Pro Circuit. Have been considering the PC but I hate to replace what works and is maintenance free. Normal exhaust packing needs to be replaced at times and probably improves sound a bit midrange where the all metal baffling of stock is most notable. It also weighs more than a fiber packed muffler. Then there is a need to source some heat shields or mod the stock ones to suit the FMF and PC. I have PCV and Autotune so would want to have an 18mm bung welded but would need to be exactly where it is stock, to fit well, and unsure without having one in my hands to know exactly how it would set up with both of their header resonators. IMO probably would need to weld on bung and nuts for shields or use hose clamps. Bike runs awesome as is w/stock exhaust, so until I drop the bike and crease the can, will probably stay stock. Comes down to a little weight advantage and better audio response. Not necessarily worth the expense and hassle as the stock pipe is a Leo Vince and looks good/works well.

I have two; 2013 TXC 310 and 14 TXC 310, one with stock and one with Full PC. The one with the PC is snappier and feels better to me. I have tried to add a FMF silencer to my stock 310 and it helped a little, but not much. I believe the full FMF will work fine, may be a little harder to find.
