• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2014 Lake Elsinore GP

2x took care of my bucket list requirement, not really my happy place race type. Always game to support events and the 2 times I did it were fun and its just a crazy vibe for the race weekend. Go have fun keeping the tradition alive. And be safe, it's very easy to get loose and careless (lot's of spectators to show off in front of) at the event.

The biggest plus is it's close to home - about 15 minutes or so. So, that certainly gets one of these

Some pics from the 2014 LEGP. I've got some action shots + viddie, but they aren't quite ready yet.

Had everything staged in the garage. Got up, did INSANITY, loaded the gear/bike and headed out. Up the 15 Freeway to Lake Elsinore (a whopping 15 minutes away!).
Got there around 0600-ish to pit. The lowly weekend warrior side of the pit was empty but soon filled. And, w/in an hour, one would be hard pressed to find a spot. A guy paid my pit/parking fee - sometimes being in the service is pretty cool.

This is the "jersey" I wore - gotta represent!

Had my bike all staged and looking "factory" and all. It still gets a lot of looks.

There was even a Ty Davis sighting****************************************

LEGP is on my bucket list, very local race for me but Ive been out of state at school the past couple years for it. I have my eyes on next year, itching to run it.

It's one of those for sure gotta do it moto events, even if its really not your fave style of riding/racing. Gotta get that On Any Sunday vibe!!
It's definitely one that I am very happy to have done, and riding down the street in the middle of town with folks lining the barrier was a real rush for sure.
