• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2014 Monster Energy Cup (animated track)

I'm excited for this excellent track and much better start from one gate(compared to last year) while still doing the "split" theme. Great chance for the guys on new bikes to get used to them under the pressure of racing! Great chance for us to see the new guys on their new rides! Lots of cash on the line! Top amateur up-and-comers preview!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Gonna be bitchen for sure. One of the best parts of the evening is the amateur shootout. Last year the super mini's were the best! The kids were airing it out like the big guys - no fear!!

Well we all know Zach Osborne went to Husky but hes riding a fc450 at this race. Is he going to be a 450 rider for husky or is this just for this race?

Since some of you might not have made the trek, let me just say the race was awesome! I think my fav were the Super-Minis. No fear in these kids at all! Ok, maybe a toss-up between the Super-Minis and the KTM JRSX kids.

It was really cool to see a Husky pit at a SX event - took some pics and will post later.

Team France/MXoN Champ Dylan Ferrandis was there - way faster in real life.

Got to hang out w/FMX star Nate Adams for a little bit. He was kind of shocked to learn he had fans that were/are as old as me (ha, ha) - equally shocked to learn we live right down the street from him.

A good friend from CalVMX was VIP @ the race and took me over to the Slaton/Strikt pit area and I got to hang w/Scott Champion for a minute. She text me later that day to come back to meet Marty Smith but I had to grab the Mrs. She was over at the Honda Factory pit wooing Trey Canard.

I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt I am faster than Ryan Dungey (I blew passed the Dunge on the I15 Sunday morning headng home).

No Bubba, RV1 or K-Roc but still a great event.

The lineup for the LCQ read like a directory from the Temecula Valley.

Here's a frame shot of the start of moto 3.. That white spot to the far left is Canards' boot ... That rider under him is Anderson ... He got the hole shot and TC41 came out 4th ... So if no one else noticed that a Husqvarna was in the race, Canard surely did.

The call went like: "Anderson, on the Husqvarna, is your early race leader." He was sticking it in there on TC41 for sure ...

I dont see any 4CS forks on those bikes........

Probably works cone valve, standard configuration dual adjuster forks, along with the WP A kit Trax shock.
