• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have been looking at a 2010 txc510 demmo bike priced at $4200. I am unsure of the hours on the bike but it does look to have some wear. Another dealer has a 2011 txc511 for $5700.

My question being, is the 2011 worth the extra $1500. I'm not too worried about resale since I hold on to a bike 5+ years. Cost is a big factor for me but I don't want to regret going the cheaper route.

If your keeping a bike that long i would say get the nicer bike, if your the type that gets a new bike every two years i would think it wouldnt matter as much. Just my 2 cents

Both very good bikes. I prefer the 511 as it feels lighter and smaller, has much better EFI and vibrates a lot less. Just a better all around bike IMHO. that said the 511 can be perceived by some as "weird" and it is packaged a little more complicated.

Consider fuel capacity, wish I could get more on mine but right now theres no way.

Yeah there is... someone needs to make a subtank that wraps around the motor on the side without the pipe. I am having one custom made for me shortly.

Im all ears, this would make this bike unbeleivable for my use. Even one more gallon would make a tremendous improvment.

Keep us up to date por favor.
