Hi All,
I've been trying to get my hands on a nice 510SMR in the UK for a while, and finally bought one at the weekend. One problem..... it's not registered on the road in the UK.
The bike ('09 build) was originally registered on the Isle of Man (2011), which has different registration documents to the UK. Having done some digging, it seems the registration process itself is pretty straight forward providing all documents are present. The key document is the MVR6 (IOM log book) which is available with the bike. I would need to submitt the MVR6 along with a completed V55/5 (registration of used vehicle) form.
The issue I have is that a lot of the information required on the V55/5 form comes from the original 'Certificate of Conformity' that is supplied with the bike when new, such as max net power, HC g/km, CO2 g/km, NOx g/km, HC + NOx g/km etc. This document is missing, so I can't complete the V55/5 form.
Obviously Husqvarna are now owned by KTM, but because KTM didn't actually build these bikes (as they were made pre takeover) they can't issue a replacement CoC for the bike.... Without a CoC, my only other option is a Single Vehicle Assessment (SVA) by the DVSA. I'd rather avoid this for two reasons, firstly I don't have experience of the process, and secondly, I'm worried it might throw up issues with emissions or some other silly issue that will prevent me from putting the bike on the road.
So now to the big question! Does anyone have a copy of a Certificate of Conformity supplied with their 510 SMR? I guess this needs to be European spec, preferably UK and of the same or similar year. Obviously I don't need to see all the info on the document (engine no, chassis no etc.) but hoping someone could remove any sensitive info from an electronic copy prior to sending it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
