Anybody take their 610 to major sand dunes?
I've ridden both a YZ-250 smoker and a YZ-450 4-stroke in the dunes.
Both with a 10 paddle tire. The 250 smoker was easier to ride in the sand and seemed to enjoy it more. The 450 made some very ugly sounds, but ran well. I was sick as hell with fever when riding it so it may not be a fair comparison.
They say that horsepower rules in the dunes. The YZ-450 has more HP than the 2T, but not a lot more. Both are in the 40-50 range. What does the 610 have?
I rode my (now sold) DR-400S in the dunes and it was marginal.
Anybody taken a 610 duning? I might be taking a trip to Florence later this summer and could take the 610 instead of the 450...
I'm thinking the WR-300 is close to perfect for the dunes...
