• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

630 CNC Blinker Brackets

Sup fellas,

I posted this on SMJ and thought I'd post it here as well. I made some fancy custom blinker brackets for my 630.

I started off by making some ghetto funk blinker brackets. One broke in two so took them both off and chucked them. Went racing and when I got back was in a rush to go on a ride so I duct taped the blinkers back on for the day. Two months later I got tired of the duct tape and made some nice brackets.

Like most of my projects it started off as a cardboard concept then it was CAD/CAM time. The proof of concept was born, some minor adjustments were made and voila!

If anyone is interested in a set, let me know

I like that a lot. What I did was just hack off the black fender and keep enough stuff that the stock turn signal mounts were still usable.

NICE! I especially like how you put your name on them..

Have you had any feedback from passengers? I actually carry passengers sometimes and it looks like it might interfere with their grip but I definitely like the fact that I could take the stock black fender off in its entirety and keep it intact in case a cop told me to put it back to stock or something!

I've never carried a passenger on the 630 before. But I'd imagine that their grip wouldn't be obstructed much if at all. I can still grab the bars and toss it around the garage just fine.
