    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Have now (at last) got the bike pretty much as planned. The twin Arrows and the PU kit were a complete and total success. Without, the bike was a disappointment. After installation, it was transformed!
Got the the carbon bits last week: (a) I no longer burn holes in my jeans and (b) I didn´t like the look of the expanse of sheet metal covering the exhaust headers. Don´t much like the white fork guards either. Next on the list is to get rid of the Mechano DIY bracket and reservoir for the front brake. And then do something serious to the rear end plate holder.
Suppose this was a process of bonding ... Anyway, I´m now a converted Husky owner :thumbsup:

Negative! The Arrows come with their own EFI and the European dealer advised new settings were not needed.

When picking up the carbon bling from my dealer, he mentioned that there was a works re-call for the 630 to replace the clutch connecting rod. It only took about quarter of an hour. No charge. Since then, the bike´s got rid of a slight rattling noise. Definitely quieter. I´d advise getting it done.
 
Those twin Arrows are sweet. How do they sound? The heat shields are nice too.
Is that part of a rear rack or are those just grab handles on the back?
 
How much does that set up cost in US $. I asked two of my local dealers and they just give me the same stupid look they always do when I ask for after market parts for a husky. 2 months and no answers,WTF? Why don't they just print the price in the hard parts book so we don't have to jump through hoops at the dealer?

No, I wasn´t informed either. But while I was at the dealer, he told me that he´d got the new part from the importer and was authorized to install it free of charge. It´s the clutch connecting rod and one end is slightly changed. Since installation (I might be imagining it) it seems to be running quieter.
 
A couple of weeks ago, I contacted Hall's, asking about a recall.

Yesterday, I received a new clutch push rod from Hall's, free of charge. I asked if it was an official recall, and here was their reply:

"It is what they call a bike update service bulletin. The US was just getting ready to release the bulletin to dealers when I started asking questions."
