I'm trying to set point gap and timing on subject bike and the manual states timing to be 2.43mm BTDC.
I'm assuming this means the piston needs to be in the hole 2.43mm deeper from TDC (flywheel turned CCW)?
If so, looks like some one set it CW and timing is retarded.
I don't have a dial indicator. I'm simply using the depth gage on my vernier calipers. Accurate enough?
Do you guys rig up some way to test continuity to verify when points separate?
