    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Nice bike! Is there a story to go with it?
yes the story is, i found it on craigslist it was advertised as an 1989 husky 250 i could tell by the pics it was earley he wanted 200 d0llors i didnt talk him down .beacuse it was all there.included a melted piston.it took me about 6 months to get it to this.just working on the weekends .
 
wow, an 89 huh? looks like it was a nice pickup. wo would make it wr. they all got plastic tanks in 84, 83 still had alum. what all needed done to the bike?

I took it down to the frame appliance painted it.found the allminum tank replaced sterring berrings,recovered seat chain and sproket,rebuilt the mtr.and shocks,bars cables,levers,all plastic,new rear tire,and pegs,i had to weld the tab back on for the rt.foot peg it had a jap style one on it.painted the air box blk.

I guess i put the the cr stickers on it because i know the wr has lights, or maby the xc stickers would have been more appropriate.not sure?
 
still have this bike, took it to barbers 2015 was asking 2800 no takers i guess ill keep it it has a nice hva pipe on it now.
