• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just picked up another EVO, this bike is in very good condition. It does need 2 fenders and new seat cover, cracks when you poke it with a finger. Mint pipe, mint parts all over and started first kick.

$1700 and to me it was a great deal, most likely the newest Husky i will own. :)

So happy with the bike, looks like it has not many miles at all on it.

Starts first kick, last start was 2 months ago

no wear on the shock from the spring, clutch cover no scratches behind shifter and kick starter has no play any where.

Would like to find & do the big speedo, brake light switch, leather tool pack for the rear sub and find the correct WR fender and light combo on this bike.

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Steve

The 86 is anti lock like, takes a strong pull. the 87 was not a 100%, slide was stuck and rotor was a bit rusty. I think now it should feel great.
I dont like the new bike brakes they are too touchy, hope its in between.

Really looks nice for it's age!! The two piston caliper 87-88 works alot better than the single piston version 85-86. I've had the single piston caliper get hot and fade. FYI the original grips were black and didn't say MS Racing.

Seat covers are on,one is friggen awesome!!

The 87 looks wrong, the font was larger before (not a big deal) but its so not straight. :(

Any one got a cover like this From HVA? Did i get a reject....

Looks more like a 1989 HusCagiva seat cover. You got the wrong one for sure.
The 86 looks Great!! Did you get it from HVA?

MMM! I spoke to our cover supplier, and they rekon the covers are right. (I did fit one myself last week and that one was o.k.), but I agree something is not correct - as the lettering should be parallel. What is the part number on the seat base????

Andy.

All sorted. Typical that the one rouge cover in a batch gets shipped the farthest!!!

Replacement coming out early next week...

Regards.

Andy.
