• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Showed up at 630am and had the choice of row 1,2,3,46,47,48..... well knowing the rain was coming I'll take 3...

Bike was a total pain to start since it was 29 degrees and no factory kickstarter (dumb)......

Took me a good 30 minutes to learn how to program the computer and its pretty neat....

Race started good and riding pretty good, guys on my row disappeared behind me... computer says check ahead so I slow down and boom 2 seconds early... poop

Next section I'm rolling along great until my break issue shows up again (adjustment issue from PO).... I adjusted it and it killed me.... 9 minutes late.... total of 11

Next 2 sections went good (learning to read a computer and ride is taking time) I burned another by 10 seconds and dropped a minute on another... total of 14....

Rear brakes locked unreal good and had to remove the pushrod (lack of tools to adjust right)... riding on front brakes and wrenching cost me time and 14 minutes late.... Total of 28 points

next 2 sections were slower which was easy without brakes and I got a 3 and a exact on time so I am sitting on 31 points...

next 3 sections were for the most part really fast and raining which made the clay spooky on front brakes only plus I was out of gas physically and basically managed myself into the finish with a 11, 17 and a 5....total of 64 for the day which I'm sure sucks but I would think the later rows had it tough in the rain....

I had a great time with one of the funnest courses I've ridden in 10 years... Really would like to thank TCMC and ACES along with the 100s of land owners for letting us ride on their property...

Couple bring away from this event if theres a remote gas there should have to be a gas trailer.... Also There will always be cheaters, couple rows back came in from odd angles many times....
