Hi all,
Currently riding a WR250 after many years off the bike, used to ride some endure, club events etc, these days live just down the road from the national park looking to do the weekend warrior trail blasts more than anything.
Just recovering from a knee reco (right knee) and son (4 years old) and wife are looking at possibly getting into a bit of riding (looking at PW50 and XT250 respectively). So all that in mind, kickstart only, flat out on the pipe 2 smoker is probably not going to be the smartest choice for family riding/slower pace work.
After getting pretty close to decided on a new Yammie WR450F I saw how cheap TE449's were going around our area, do you good folks think a TE449 would meet the brief for family putting around as well as having the balls to keep Dad entertained on solo blasts?
Everything I have read seems to point to it being a suitable choice, I am aware of some of the low throttle fuelling issues (would probably just remove the FBW butterfly and remap) and the slightly low fuel capacity, other than that seems like a great bike.
Would love to hear some feedback based on real world ownership/experience as I cant get a leg over a bike myself until this knee heals.
(Would really love to stay on a husky as well, they seem to have gotten under my skin).
Thanks guys
