• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Need help finding an Alberta Husky dealer and we live near Red Deer . Please don't tell us about Rainy Creek Powersports in Eckville AB. as they have trashed one of our bikes already and I wouldn't trust them to work on a wheelbarrow . Thanks

Bow Ridge Sports in Cochrane seem OK.
Yeah I have heard of them , just wondered how good they were ? I guess it's worth a 4 hr return drive to Bow Ridge get decent & proper service . We tryed to shop locally but this happens . I should have known better . Thanks for the info .

^^
Try them out, don't even bother heading to Edmonton. If all else fails call Ross Rocher Sales, they're the best.

Thanks to everyone for the help , it looks like Bow Ridge Sports is the place to go . I hope other riders learn from our mistakes and beware of :censored: rainy creek powersports .

I bought my Husky from Bow Ridge Sports. They gave great service. Talk to Brian Watt, in parts.
He seems very reasonable. I am happy, they took time to set my bike up before delivery, the jetting and carb was all done, and I am happy. I saw them at the motorcycle show in Calgary and they try hard to give good service. I am sure they are not perfect, but so far so good.

Hey thanks Oldmotocrosser , I called Bow Ridge Sports this am. and they will have the part I need by Friday ! That Brian Watt sounds like he knows his stuff . Now ..... we just have to figure out why it has taken rainy creek 7 weeks to come up with nothing . And are they going to fix the damage they did to my bike ?
