• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Another 82 430WR

AA Class
Just finished this resurrection this past Saturday. Completely torn down, frame painted, tank painted, new frame/wheel bearings, new NOS speedometer, etc, etc, etc... So clean, I don't think I can even ride it -- I guess that's what the 83 430WR Milk Truck is for, eh?..Both are excellent, but I actually always liked the "thinner" feel/ergos of the 82's when compared to the 83 WR's. Anyway, it's done. Now to finish a 79 KTM 400 GS80 and a 73 DKW 125 Enduro. Seems like it never ends! :)

GS80??? WAS THERE SPOSTA BE A COMMA IN THAR SOME WHAR? MY GS80 IS #1 ON THE I WISH I HAD IT BACK LIST IT WAS BLUE WHITE AND ORANGE TOO BUT IT DIDNT SAY KTM ON IT

Picked up the 79 KTM 400 GS80 a couple of weeks ago. It's in good condition, and just needs some routine maintenance and good a cleaning & detailing. Except for the motor (which is in great condition -- thank GOD****************************************!) the bike is almost completely torn down right for cleaning, maintenance and detailing. Tonight I just finished rebuilding the forks. The only thing I need to make it complete is a centerstand -- I'll be purchasing that next week.

Also have a fully restored 78 400 MC5/GS (pictured below with the Enduro tank removed) -- but it's too clean to ride too! LOL!! (I know, I know what's the point of having them if you're not going to ride them??? -- Can't answer that question -- hahaha!!).

The Deek (not pictured) is at my buddy's house for a little frame and fab work.

2nd pic is the rest of the herd. Bought the minibike for 2 good neighborhood kids (brothers) -- They love it!
