    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

On Motostrano, Warp9 wheels has a note says Speedo Drives are not featured on Warp 9 Wheels. If you need a Speedo, check out a Vapor by Trailtech.
Is that true?
Now comes even a dumber question: I know the SM version comes with 320mm disc. With the extender, does it actually improves braking? I looked at the manual and the brake caliper is actually different than TE. The SM comes with radial brakes. I did read somewhere you can get the TE brake disc, drill a bigger hole, and don't even have to use the extender. But not sure the brake performance.
I'm very happy with the 630 off road. Still trying to work out the issue on grooved high ways. Other than that this bike is great! If I can get some Super Moto wheels, this bike is would be the best bargain ever, even if it's discontinued.
 
I have a set of SM wheels for my TE. I did not opt for the larger rotor, or the adapter. I use a TE rotor on the SM wheels, and they just slip on and bolt right up. The bike brakes just fine. The SM brakes, with the larger rotor and dual pistons, are really nice. But...I don't ride that hard.

I swapped the wheels today (off with the dirt wheels; on with the street wheels). Including swapping the rear disc (I only have one rear disc), it took 16 minutes. And that included adjusting the chain.

I had not heard that about the Warp9 wheels not sure how it could be but I'll let you know as soon as I get them in and mounted. If it is true I'll have to figure something out not having a speedo could result in some issues:rolleyes:

The rotor is made to be used with the TE caliper once the extender is added, it's only two bolts so using it shouldn't make a differnce and only going by what i'm told the braking should show a marked improvement, however like others have said it probably won't be aparent to me as I don't ride that hard. I'm hoping the SM wheels will eliviate the performance on grooved highways.
 
:applause::applause::lol::lol: Some people just don't get it. I had a price point set and they pretty much nailed it. It took me like 4 or 5 pencils before we got there and I almost left but we got within a couple hundred so I caved.
 
OK sorry for the delay in posting. I've had some difficlties, I was supposed to get the wheel set last week but that didn't happen, finally got them Tuesday and got them back from GP motorsports here in San Diego today. First GP Motorsports is awesome, Joey in Parts and Jessie in service great guys. Now onto the problems. MS said here was a mix up on the order so they didn't get them when they thought they would, have to hand it to them while they culdn't mount the tires for me they did refund my 50.00 shipping charge because of their error. Good customer service. The bad customer service part is that the Warp 9 rims DO NOT accomodate a speedo sensor. Why would you even make a SM wheel set up with rotor that does not accomodate a speed sensor:eek::naughty::banghead: Infact Jessie at GP called Warp and they said they did not recommend driling the rotor to accomodate the sensor. There fix was to get a rare earth magnet and glue it onto the rotor. So I picked up the wheels and brought them home, well I went with the SM rotor so when I get home I start taking the front wheel off, take the caliper apart to put on the extender and guess what, they sent the wrong extender. I'm totally P.O'd. I'll be calling Warp 9 tomorrow to try and figure out what's next. While I like the idea of the SM rotor I don't ride that hard and at this point I'm thinking it's a total waste and PITA. Here's some pictures though as promised. Ended up with a 43 T rear sprocket.

The rear rotor is wrong also, I can't get the rear axle to line up with brake caliper. The rotor hits the top of the caliper before the axle lines up. Then I went to change out rotors and they've got them in so tight with red locktight the hex head bolt stripped bfore the thing turned. I'm seriously not a happy person.

The rotor bolted right on?? You didn't have to drill out the 4 mounting holes for the larger SM mounting bolts? I thought the inner edge would be paper thin if I drilled the bolts out to fit the SM (larger) mounting bolts. I bought the adapter and was going to use the TE caliper, but that is impossible I'll try to upload a pic to show how they obstruct each other. Recently considering mounting a SM caliper for both uses but I think your way is the best if it actually works. Appreciate any imput.Picture 010.jpg
