  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I used this kit on my 2012 310. Fit was good with the exception of clearance to the header. No problems though.

Regarding clearance to the header. Samco that I tried fit too snug. I returned mine and returned to stock. Hopefully they are sized differently.

I have the Samcos on my '12 TXC 310, & yes they are close to the header but after 1 1/2 yrs there is no indication that it's gonna be a problem.

I ordered a set of the Pro Factory hoses in blue for a little contrast and July 4th is around the corner. Will see how they compare fit wise.

I have the pro factory hoses. They fit well and have extra length on the ends to trim to how you want them to fit. They eliminate the t-stat, and I cut the fan switch into the left side vertical run. They do run these tc style which runs through the frame backbone, where the txc/te is ran below it. On my txc, there were quite a few wires blocking that hole in the frame, but I routed the hose through just fine. I have a bunch of rides and so far no problems. In regards to the header clearance, it slightly sits on that little bracket, I just cut a piece of fuel line and slipped it over the bracket.

Great. I just removed, relocated and detailed to prep for them. Appreciate the feedback.

Hoses are on and slightly better fit than the Samcos. I could place the lower hose on both barbs inlet and standoff without distortion. A couple of zip ties, pull it away from the head. Hoses are definitely long enough to trim especially the top hose to pull it back from rubbing the cooling fins. A quick stop at West Marine for 2 more clamps around the temp sensor is all I need to button it up.

All buttoned up and the blue is a nice touch. Oriented clamps so not to interfere anywhere or too close to the radiator and wires. The clamps all need to be on real tight. A small hex wrench, 7mm., works best. The most leak prone area was splicing the temp sensor in as the hose is widest there. West Marine had the good clamps in HD which were a hair wider and fit the fitting well but on initial install fluid was making it's way out so get all tight. Ready to ride..
