  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Any info on this bike ? much appreciated thanks

What size rear tire is it? If it's a 19" rear then it's a TC most likely if it's a 18" then it's a TE or TXC. That is as long as they are stock.

Sorry bin working, it's 5 speed but I think it was kick start ? And had elerictic start put on as I have both ? And as for the wheels I'll have to measure I no there exel tarasago rims I do belive but I though they was standard with this as I have another 450 which had the same ?

Looks like a 06 but the tank is black so it might be a later one. Does it have a side stand lug if not then its a TC.

It don't have a stand but here's a loose spring hanging around down there so don't no if something was on it ? And the boy I got it off said he spent 200 pound on a new plastic kit so don't think that's the original mate ? Just confusing me

I can just see the blue banjo fittings on the oil lines indicating someone has updated to the red plastic. Also the plastic accent is grey not black so another indicator of the 05-06. I would guess 2005 because the forks look like the 45s, a 2006 would be 50mm. The rim size is stamped on the rim by the spokes but you could also just check the tire size as well. 2005 TCs did have electric start from the factory as well.
