• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone ever think about a Service Honda?

Husqvarna
AA Class
I know it is not a Husky, but the Service Honda's, specifically, the CR500 in the new generation CRF chassis just looks amazing. Honda ergos have always fit me well (as good as Husky). The fit and finish is better than Husky in my opinion. I have ridden 500s a few times and always loved the motor. Even the CR250 conversions they do seem like interesting bikes...except for the price.

Is it just me, or is one of these bikes on everyone's wish list?

For sure on my wish list, but a WAYS down... For me, it would be my one shiny, polished bike. It would only see sand, and always be kept clean. They look like amazing bikes, but there are a few on my list before that one, that I wanna get dirty!

If I lived in southern CA or AZ I'd own one for the dunes without a doubt. Came close to buying one and having it titled for plate use here in MN but changed my mind at the last minute. That bike owns the sand dunes.

A 215 lb 500cc 2 smoke would be the ultimate for eye popping fun.

I have many a time. I once rode a cr480 and have been in love wtih open honda 2 strokes ever since. I have an 01 CR250 sitting in storage I am still trying to figure out what to do with it. Its got maybe 100 miles on it. In Cherry cond. Love the honda two strokes too. If I had the time would love to retrofit it in a newer frame...asuming I could fine a new roling chasis afordably priced

Yup, Count me IN! I would love to own one... but i would not like to pay for one!! I have a hard time with a $10,000 price tag, for something that will inevitably try to take down a tree!

Anyone ever think about a Service Honda?

Yeah, ever since I first saw one on video.

If I ever had a little luck on the lottery then there would be one in my garage. It would have to be a (semi road legal) supermoto though - a dirtbike would be a waste for a hack like me. And gas would have to get a lot cheaper too!

Beautiful bikes.
