• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I bet that thing is a cruise missle. Crazy fast in a straight line but so so in the corners. It does look pretty awesome. Sure to leave a burn out on the blacktop and a skid mark in your britches a mile long.

Nice! Eric taught himself how to ride on a little Kawasaki 100 when he was 16 or so and then went out and bought himself a CBX
Seriously, it was the first real bike he ever owned.

Go big or go home right?? Well, that was also my mentality when getting into db's.... As you can see, I've since changed.

What were you thinking? The same thing I was, Hell if I'm this fast on a CR125 I'm really going to be faster on a CR500!! NOT

Had a XR75, than an SL125, then a XL175, then felt I was good enough an doing a lot of dirtbike riding and bought the YZ465 from a friend. Looped it a few times before i got a hang of it but like anything else 7 rides in i was wishing for more POWER :>)

Back in my Z1-R days that was the only bike I'd get worried about racing against. With just a little carb work and a change of exhaust they'd give me a hard time at the strip.

You needed the Honda Z50 with the Honda SL70 engine in it.
