  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Best Midpipe guard for a 2010 TXC 250?

Does anyone have a midpipe guard for a 2010 TXC 250? I looked on the Motosportz website and and I like the black metal one but it says it's not for the X-Lite 250 which I think is what I have??? The motor is the new small motor.

I looked at that one, but I was hoping for a cheaper metal one like the Motosportz one. I did order the P3 header pipe guard though, I just don't want to spend another $100 unless that's the only option. I melted through my pant leg on my new pants today... I knew I should've dug out the old ones to ride today.

The Husky Hard Parts plastic one is very inexpensive and works well in my opinion. It could break on you but then again for the price it serves my purpose. You can order through any Husky dealer.

ive had all three and can tell you the metal one from motosports can get caught on your leg and bend back towards you as it mounts only in the front, the husky hard parts plastic one also mounts up front and can also catch your leg causing it to bend forwards,i just zip tyed it through the side panel to keep it from moving altough you had to re sip ty it whenever you took off the side panel,I also bought a P3 guard and it is expensive, but it mounts in two spots with clamps and mounts low profile and solid and will not move,IMHO best buy out there if you want to set it and forget it

I agree, just can't bring myself to spend big $ and the oem one works well and if you are concerned about the 2nd fastener just add a zip tye.
