• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

These bikes are making their way into showrooms. Anybody have any experience with riding one or seen any ride reports anywhere? It is very cool to see more manufacturers entering the Enduro 2T market. Sherco is also offering one but it hasn't hit any show rooms.

They look cool and are more short people friendly than the Husky. Very adjustable powerband. Enquiring minds want to know!

Privine Racing Based out of Las Vegas has like 10 racers for the 2013 season.I was told they got 25 new Betas.Nic Burson x Husky racer will be on a new Beta 4 stroke. Privine has 2 racers on the 250 2 stroke .First race is in 2 weeks followed by the first National the following weeken so we should see soon how the Bates do
I know Nic has been out testing and posting how the test went on his facebook sight

Thanks, for the info. Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to Husqvarna to get with the program. The little guys (Beta, Sherco, GasGas & TM) - may be big guys in a few years. They are sure getting aggressive on developing the type of bikes we need.

Im looking forward to reading race reports. I just hope to see some racers on the right coast sporting the new Beta smokers.

Hey Walt. I rode a 300 in the parking lot at the dealer, it was very low to the ground sort of like a pre 2012 gasser, excellent fit and finish, looks easy to work on, felt very very powerful. I've got a 250 on the way and will give you a report after I get some time on it as well as a comparison between the wb165.

Saw the 300 2t at his shop today. That thing fired up like a lightswitch. Above pic is skidplate for 2012 RS models...maybe more with small mods but this should fit the 350-520
