• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Myself and 7 other guys have planned, since last December, to do a Moab trip middle of April. Had to take my '09 510 in 6 weeks ago to Tri County Powersports ( sponsor here ) to get forks seals done ( go figure ) waited 4 weeks for the part- no big deal still have time. Tragedy struck they broke a part in the fork, parts backordered 30 days - this is a problem my trip is to begin in two weeks. Mike in service tried for the next week to find the part elsewhere - no go! Now I've got a week before I leave, the owner, Paul, called to let me know no matter what I will be riding Moab. The offered to rent a bike for me which was fine but I really wanted to ride my rig. The day before yesterday I got the call that Tri County would replace my entire front end to get me off on my way! I'll be riding a 2010 front end on my 09 ! So stoked - BIG thank you to Mike and Paul at Tri County - you guys rock! If anyone is looking for a new bike in SoCal go see Paul - they stand behind everything they do!!

Thats great, but they did break the part, so they should do that anyways. Nice to know they took care of you.

Sounds like good people**************************************** They are there for you. Even though they broke the part they went a way's to let you use that front end. I know some dealers that wouldn't

Glad you had a good time in Moab Matt. It was unfortunate that the head on the compression cylinder snapped while disassembling your fork while under our care. Thanks for your understanding.
